LINEAR HEAT DETECTOR (LHD)
IS A FIRE DETECTION PRODUCT
VERSATILE AND ECONOMIC.
Its installation is simple; all that is required is for it to be run along the elements to be monitored. Its operating principle is based on the physical properties of the cable. The polymers that make it up have been specially designed to react to a well-defined temperature.
When this temperature is reached, these polymers melt and allow the cores that make up the cable to come into contact.
This contact is detected by the SSI control center, which triggers the alarm.
The choice of cable is made based on the temperature at which the alert is to be sent.
The advantages of this system are as follows:
- Ease of installation and maintenance,
- False alarms reduced to a minimum,
- Works with a LHD cable length of up to 2000m,
- Possibility of detecting fires in places difficult to monitor or dangerous (cable routes, reactor hoods, motors, etc.),
- Compatibility with most SSI power plants.
